Khor Ruri is the largest reserve in the Dhofar Governorate of Oman. It contains the Khawr Ruri, also known as Samharah, which is an important and attractive place for tourists. There are important ruins dating back to ancient times. The Khawr had an essential role in importing frankincense during the past time. It has a special status not only as a nature reserve but also as an important heritage reserve. There are lots of fish, birds, and plants living there which help the biological balance.

Khawr AlBatah Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, extends about 3 kilometers and has an important role for fishing vessels and commercial ports where various types of ships anchor.

Bandar Khayran Reserve Lagoon is about 40 minutes far from Bandar Al Rawdha Marina by boat. It is located in Muscat and you will enjoy the path while some dolphins swim along and accompany the boat. You will also enjoy the Rocky Mountains and white-washed small houses overlooking the majestic sea. Bandar Al Khayran waters are home to many diverse organisms and fish due to the permeated coral reefs in the water. There are also 22 beautiful and charming diving locations.

Bandar Khayran Reserve Lagoon

The pink lagoon is located between the wilayats of Mahout and Al Jazir in Al Wusta Governorate. As experts noted, the combination of high salty water pools leads to pink color. Interestingly, it is obvious that different seasons cause a change and different shades of pink. It is not recommended to drink water or swim in this lagoon due to its high salt content.
